Words That Don’t Exist in the English Language

You know how sometimes you overeat when you’re sad or depressed? Kummerspeck is the German word for the weight gained from such eating. It translates to “grief bacon”.

Have you ever tapped someone on the shoulder from behind and quickly moved to the other side, enjoying the puzzled look of your victim? Indonesians call it Mencolek.

Ever scratched your head while trying to remember something? The Hawaiians sure have. They even came up with a word for it: Pana Po’o.
